The Brazilian Research in Auto Industry (BRAIN) project is a technological platform associated with the Grupo de Estudos em Desenvolvimento do Sul Fluminense (GEDESF) and the Laboratory of Multi-Application in Management (LAMAG), based at the Institute of Human and Social Sciences in Volta Round (ICHS) of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). 

BRAIN  is coordinated by Professor Dr. Raphael Lima (UFF) and is linked to the activities of the Professional Master's in Administration/Postgraduate Program in Administration (MPA/PPGA) and the Postgraduate Program in Sociology (PPGS). 

The main performance indicators of the project are: functioning as a technical-scientific database, providing digital compilations, bibliographic, documentary and technical data (production, sale, import, export, etc.) of the automotive sector; train and train researchers at undergraduate and graduate levels; act in partnership with the public administration, civil society and universities; consolidate research on topics related to the automotive industry, such as the organization of global value chains (GVCs); corporate strategies in multiple geographies; development, industrial policies and regulatory mechanisms; configuration of labor relations and union action;  innovation and new technological paradigms; social construction of the automotive market and the resignification of the automobile.
