He holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2002), a master's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005) and a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2010). He is currently Associate Professor I at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), linked to the Multidisciplinary Department of Volta Redonda and accredited to the Graduate Program in Sociology of the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy (Niterói campus) and to the Graduate Program in Administration of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences (Volta Redonda campus). He has experience in the field of Sociology, with an emphasis on Economic Sociology and Sociology of Work, working mainly on the following topics: regional development, social movements, trade unions and politics, work, steel and the automobile industry. He has a scholarship from FAPERJ (Young Scientist of Our State - JCNE).

Doctor in Sociology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004), where he also completed a master's degree in Sociology (2000) and a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (1997). Since 2006, he has worked at the Fluminense Federal University, where he is currently Associate Professor III, linked to the Department of Sociology and Methodology of Social Sciences and to the Graduate Program in Sociology of the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy (Niterói campus). He is also a contributor to the Graduate Program in Public Policy, Strategy and Development at the Institute of Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Between 2006 and 2015, he was professor at the Volta Redonda campus of UFF, where he participated in the creation of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences, having been vice-director of the institute between 2011 and 2014, pro-tempore head of the Multidisciplinary Department between 2011 and 2013 and participated in the creation of the Professional Master's in Administration, to which he was accredited between 2013 and 2018.

José Ricardo Ramalho is a professor at the Department of Sociology and the Graduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He has a doctorate and master's degree in Social Sciences (Political Science) at the University of São Paulo, and post-docs at the University of London (UK) and the University of Manchester (UK). His academic work is more focused on the field of Sociology of Work and his main research topics are: labor relations in the industry; union and unionism; productive restructuring and industrial districts; work, employment and regional and local economic development; worker identity.

She is an Adjunct Professor at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ, 2015). He is a member of the coordination of the Research Center "Development, Work and Environment" (DTA / IFCS / UFRJ). He developed the Post-Doctorate in the Post-Doctoral Program in Sociology and Anthropology (PPGSA / IFCS) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) through the National Post-Doctoral Program (PNPD-Capes). She is currently also a researcher at the Brazilian College of Higher Studies at the UFRJ Science and Culture Forum (CBAE-UFRJ). He completed a Doctoral Internship Abroad (PDEE - CAPES) at the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom. She holds a PhD (2013) and Master (2008) in Sociology and Anthropology (2008) at the same institution and has a degree in Social Sciences (Bachelor and Licentiate) also from UFRJ. He has experience in the field of Sociology with an emphasis on Sociology of Work and Development, Gender Issues and Public Policy, Sociology of Education and Teaching Sociology for Basic Education. She worked as a teacher of Elementary School I and II, High School, Higher Education, Extension Course, Postgraduate Lato and Stricto Sensu.

He is an Adjunct Professor at the Dept. of Sociology and Adjunct Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Sociology & Anthropology (PPGSA), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He holds a Young Scientist of Our State (JCNE) scholarship from FAPERJ and is an Editorial Assistant at the Revista Sociologia & Antropologia. He works in the sub-area of Economic Sociology, having experience in the themes of social change, globalization, development, firms, mining, steel and the automobile industry. He coordinates the research group Development, Work and Environment (DTA) and integrates the group Politics, Economy, Mining, Environment and Society (PoEMAS). He is a member of the National Committee for the Defense of Territories against Mining (CNDTM) and advises the International Coordination of People Affected and Affected by Vale (AIAAV) and the National Movement for Popular Sovereignty against Mining (MAM).

Marcelo Amaral holds a bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences from the Institute of Economics at UFRJ, a master's and doctorate in Production Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ, and a post-doctoral degree from the Polytechnic School of USP. He was a visiting professor at North Carolina State University and a visiting researcher at Research Triangle Park in the United States. Specialist in Technological Innovation Project Management, certified by the International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP), he worked between 1999 and 2006 in institutions such as the Electric Energy Research Center (CEPEL), Federation of Industries of the State of RJ (FIRJAN) and Centro of Mineral Technology (CETEM). He was an entrepreneur, having been a partner at CAN Eventos, AMG Research & Project, Rio BMF (Mr Quandt) and iSzabo Consulting; and consultant for companies and regional development projects. Since 2006, he has been a professor at the Administration Department of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences (www.ichs.uff.br), a unit of the Fluminense Federal University. He is a professor at the CEDERJ Consortium, of several specialization courses and MBAs, and is accredited in the Postgraduate Program in Administration (PPGA) and in the Doctorate in Law, Institutions and Business. Between 2009 and 2010 he worked at the International Institute of Triple Helix, in Madrid, Spain, where he organized the VIII Triple Helix Conference. Between 2011 and 2014 he was Director of ICHS/UFF, Deputy Director between 2015 and 2017 and again Director between 2017 and 2019.

Master (2010) and PhD (2019) in Social History from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, he was a visiting researcher at Duke University (Oct/2015–Jul/2016). The theme of her research is industrialization, urbanization, political party formation and its imbrications with the working class of the South Fluminense region of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Currently researching race-color, post-abolition, as well as the connections of these issues with the formation of the working class. Participates in the Laboratory of Studies on the History of the Worlds of Work (LEHMT) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), of the Group of Global History of Work (HGT) of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), of the Group of Studies of the Worlds of Work and Post-Abolition (GEMTRAPA-UFRRJ) and the Network of HistoriansXs NegrXs (HN). He has a TCT5 scholarship from FAPERJ, linked to the BRAIN project.

Technician in Administration graduated from the State Technical School (ETEC) of the Paula Souza Center on the São José dos Campos campus in an integrated course with High School. Member of the Academic Center for Public Administration of ICHS at UFF since 2019. He is part of the PET Social Management group (Sesu/MEC Tutorial Education Program) and Tecnosolidarios (partnership with DATA - Research in Applied Informatics and Organizational Studies). Since 2020, he has been a member of the Study Group on Development of the South Fluminense (GEDESF) as a scientific initiation scholarship - CNPq (PIBIC) from UFF with research on industrial policies for the automotive sector.

He is currently Substitute Professor of Sociology of Basic, Technical and Technological Education at CEFET on the Maria da Graça campus and editor of Revista Ensaios, a journal of Social Sciences at UFF.

Master's student (2019-2021) and CNPq scholarship holder in the Postgraduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology (PPGSA) of the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences (IFCS) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, institution in which he obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (2018). His research in the automotive sector began with the Sociology of Work, evaluating public policies aimed at minimizing the impacts of the economic crisis on Brazilian industry. Currently, he researches how companies in the automotive sector decide to invest in Brazil, emphasizing the socio-political relationships that make investments viable beyond economic motivations.
